Inter-Agency Collaboration of a Business System Implementation
Braestone was engaged by the Department of Fire and Emergency Services (DFES) to manage the replacement of their existing Computer Aided Dispatch (CAD) system. Operating 24 hours a day, the DFES’ CAD system was core to the Department’s provision of effective and efficient fire and emergency services, but it had passed the end of useful life.
Braestone developed a comprehensive and compelling business case and supporting documentation, which included the business requirements and concept solution.
Braestone managed the execution of the project strategy and migrated DFES to a shared infrastructure platform, hosted and supported by WA Police Force. The engagement required Braestone’s management of a large multi-agency and multi-disciplinary team and the provision of strategy, procurement, delivery, change, training and architecture services.
The project is recognised by the WA State Government as an exemplar of inter-agency collaboration and an example implementation of a complex critical business system project that delivered the full scope, on schedule and within budget.
